They are part of my new collection, Flutter! It is based on the beautiful life all around us. The pieces are full of plants flowering, birds flying, and fish swimming that make the work feel alive. I have so loved experimenting with different imagery and styles to find the perfect way for me to share my work in different ways.

My inspiration for the figures in this show came from within our Baton Rouge community. Some faces are meant to call on Louisiana's French Heritage, like Marie Antoinette & Coco Chanel, while others are nationally renowned figures who have gained a fascination with our community like Betty White, Elvis Presley, or Dolly Parton. Each piece of art was designed to not only be a reflection of the subject’s personality but also to highlight the arrangement of Local Supply itself. Each piece features, in some part, the paint colors used to decorate the store.

In 2022, I want to spend as much time as I can learning from those around me and taking courses that will improve my business for years to come. I am still so green in the world and there is so much I have yet to learn about the business of art.
