The Show

The title for this show, Flourish, comes from the how our communities have found ways to bring light and love to our world in the past two years. Local Supply’s mission of connecting Louisiana creatives with customers while celebrating the local community has been evident throughout our entire working relationship. This show was planned to celebrate the growth both of our businesses have seen in these astonishing past two years.

My inspiration for the figures in this show came from within our Baton Rouge community. Some faces are meant to call on Louisiana's French Heritage, like Marie Antoinette & Coco Chanel, while others are nationally renowned figures who have gained a fascination with our community like Betty White, Elvis Presley, or Dolly Parton. Each piece of art was designed to not only be a reflection of the subject’s personality but also to highlight the arrangement of Local Supply itself. Each piece features, in some part, the paint colors used to decorate the store.

The show will open on the evening of June 24th, 2022 with a reception from 6-8 that evening and run through this fall. Notable faces in the showcase include, Harry Styles, Audrey Hepburn, Jimi Hendrix, and Willie Nelson along with many more. We cannot wait to see y’all excitement at the reception and continued love of the show this fall.
