One of the most famous Victorian writers, Charlotte Bronte was one of three sisters whose works became classics of English literature. Her second novel, Jane Eyre, was published in 1847 under the male-assuming pseudonym Currer Bell to relieve the book of inherent bias. The next year she and her sisters admitted to their pseudonyms and were soon part of celebrated Literary circles.

This piece was created as a celebration of one of my favorite authors as a gift for my beloved thesis advisor. This piece was modeled after one of the only surviving images of Bronte, George Richmonds chalk drawing. In this piece, Bronte is holding her most famous novel, Jane Eyre in one hand. The background is meant to display the crossed iron windows that were typical of gothic architecture.

This 8”x8” piece that replicates a piece of my original paintings is a high quality art print cut to size on acid-free paper and is perfect for finding standard-sized frames at Target, Home Goods, Michael’s, or anywhere else! It is shipped to you on a stiff mat board and in acid-free packaging to ensure longevity of the piece and that it arrives safely to you!

Framed prints measure 13x13 in total outer dimensions.
