Cowgirl Cher 16x16 Canvas

"As if!" This iconic character from the 90s cult-classic film Clueless set the tone for a generation of stylish, sassy, and powerful women. The impact that her character had continues on with many girls dressing as Cher for Halloween and even a nod from Harry Styles in his red-carpet outfit at the 2021 Grammys.

This piece depicts my rendition of Alicia Silverstone's adored Rolling Stone cover that advertised her interview on her time as Cher. I highlight the beloved yellow plaid costume in the background color, and I emphasize the cowgirl hat used in the photo shoot by adding a bedazzled jean jacket for a modern touch. The stones on the jacket are real appliques glued on to add the shine that she deserves!

This piece is a 16”x16” round canvas in the round designed with round and star shaped jewel add ons to create that “bedazzled” jacket look. I finished it with a high-gloss epoxy resin coat to give it a clean-cut appearance and ensure the collaged nature of the work stays intact.
