Marilyn Monroe is one of the world’s most iconic movie stars. She is one of the most iconic faces of the twentieth century. This piece reflects her costume in the movie Gentlemen prefer Blondes. She has large silver set diamonds in her earrings, rings, and bracelets. Her necklace has a large, beautiful silver set stone applique that has a star like design. All of her jewelry is also covered in various sized white pearls. The background is a bright simple white with a cornet of diamonds, pink and white jewels, and a gold accent to encircle the piece. Marilyn’s outfit is meant to be reminiscent of her dress from the iconic “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” from her 1949 movie Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend making it the perfect piece for the Cornerstone of the Baubles store.
