His flamboyant style and wide vocal range brought his thirty-nine albums immense fame in his lifetime. Prince was always known to comment on the conventional from his androgenous style to renaming himself to, “the artist formerly known as Prince '' after a contractual dispute with Warner Bros.

The imagery in this piece takes its inspiration from two of his most memorable songs, Purple Rain and When Doves Cry.
